Re: Autohold and parking

Noise: On some petrol VW group cars, opening the drivers door causes the electrical fuel lift pump to start, so as to kick the fuel pressure up, ready for starting. Discovered this to my embarassment, when working on my gti. Luckily no harm done...but then, I'm a non smoker! Parking: I never leave m...

Re: Shattering Sunroofs

These glass pano roofs have always given me the heeebee geeebeees! Many, many years ago i rolled a Ford Capri with Webasto fabric sunroof, at quite some speed, and I can still visualise the tarmac rushing past just clear of my head as i slid down the road, sunroof having detached from car... Scarey ...

Re: 2017 Tiguan Towbars

All this palaver with aftermarket tow bars, on nearly new cars. what was once a piece of bent metal fastened to the bumper...a tow hook! OEM stealers appear to have us over a barell? What chance on a 7/8 year old car, when the software is no longer supported? For sale: 8 year old windows PC, or i ph...

Re: Proposed Ban on Hands Free Devices

Thought so! :D This all needs a dose of common sense, something in very short supply hereabouts in recen  A quick voice call to a client, re-arranging appointments etc is one thing...texting, updating twatter/faceybox etc completely unacceptable. If its not an appropriate time to take or conti...

Lease car due back, new car not ready. Both VWFS. What treatment/help can I expect?

A significant issue for me, needing to stay mobile for work. This is a non-emotional business/service purchase. TBH its not the car of my dreams... Both cars via WFS, both via same broker, and coincidentally both cars coming from same supplying dealership, in the Midlands. Current car at end of a 3 ...

Re: Proposed Ban on Hands Free Devices

So...hands free not good enough?

How do single manned traffic Police patrols control their moving vehicles. Whilst simultaneously operating a plethora of radios, cameras, speed measuring devices etc?

Is it a bit of specialist training, superhuman talents, or maybe just some sort of legal exemption?

Re: Rear bumper protection cover or plate

Just jumping in on this post. I am frightened of my dog scratching the rear bumper and although I use an over the bumper Matt, feel that I need some added protection as well. I like the look of the stainless steel protector but feel a black one would go better with my white Rline. I have attached a...

Sorry not of specific help, just an observation....

Michelin cross climates have transformed my wife's Fiat 500 in the wet/mud.

Re: Delivery time from build week confirmed

4 weeks from build to dealer seems to tally with my current experience.

Car now in Emden, but not at dealer before Jan week 3 2020.
Seems slow to me....
