Re: Turning off service/oil notice lights on dash

I was always told by a very good mechanic that if I every bought a brand new car change the gear box oil and normal oil/filter ater the first 6 months as this is when most of the bedding in would of been done. So the oil may or may not have small metal shaving, but after 6 months it's minimum so yo...

Re: Turning off service/oil notice lights on dash

I guess VW boffins thought a good idea keeping away from yet another paper filter with a reusable steel mesh, just they didn't mention to servicing department to clean it at time of oil change. Nothing to do with VW, Haldex is a BorgWarner product and that's how they make them and VW buy them https...

Re: Fixed tow bar and reverse camera

When you say fixed, do you mean non folding? Mine is aftermarket non foldable. My unpluggable hitch whitter is fine, with or without trailer attached. It has vehicle specific electronic interface, fitted and coded by specialists PF Jones. Imo, this part of the job was unreasonably expensive, but the...

It’s definitely a “Marmite” concept. If you’re a BMW X4 or X6 fan or perhaps even an Audi Sportback, then you’ll probably like it. Some will, some won’t, and the jury’s still out for me at the mo’.

Re: WTB : Tiguan R-Line MK2 Steering Wheel Badge

A lot seem to come up through google images. I can’t be sure on the fit though, are all the steering wheel badges same size? I’m guessing so but I thought I’d ask. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/262888254045?rt=nc&_trkparms=aid%3D1110001%26algo%3DSPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D225076%26meid%3Df8ea405de5704b...

Re: How is your DSG gearbox performing?

M'kay, so I'm not alone. I would have to drive another Tiguan to learn how my car actually compares to others. I did drive another 1.5 Highline when purchasing but it was a short test drive and I didn't focus that much on the transmission. So how would the lucky folk here describe the shifting smoo...

Grey is the most forgiving, the dust and dirt just blends in
Funnily enough, i thought the same.....

But my "free" Panzer grey tig always looks sh1tt1ier than the white one!?!

My steel grey metallic golf was the best I've had for not showing dirt or chips.

Re: DIY tow bar electric’s - 2016+ TDI 5N Match Edition BMT 4M

I have a whitter bar with whitter elecs harness/modules. No issues. Was fitted and coded by professionals at PF Jones, Stoke. Good service. I'm probably with you, in that I'm unwilling to pay stealer mark up! Especially for use with basic trailers, although I do tow regularly. I have self fitted bar...

Re: So ...whatever happened to the Tiguan GTE?

Personally, I can't understand why anyone would realistically attempt to sell a "GT" "E" anything, never mind a big fat SUV? Surely the GT and E concepts should be mutually exclusive? ...and about as much use an an electric Ferrari? Or an electric Panamera? Now, i enjoy my performance cars. my other...
