It is time to leave the Tiguan Forum

After three years on the Tiguan Forum it is now time for me to say goodbye. I did consider to bow out quietly by simply not posting anymore but have decided to post a final goodbye to the many forum friends I have made over the years. I feel some of you could be genuine friends if we were ever to me...

Re: INTERIOR LIGHTS?

All these replies are off target! This is, unfortunately the way it works with KEYLESS. It's a pain, you would hope pressing the stop button would trigger the lights, but VW missed that bit. I wonder why a brief press on the button to turn the ignition off doesn't turn the interior lights on, obvio...

Re: luxury road tax, what's included

Almost as if they are deliberately targeting the average person and wealthy market who can afford it the most get looked over. If you can afford a 40k car you are most certainly not the 'average' person. No one makes anyone spend 40k + on a car, it is your choice and if you decide to have a car of ...

Re: luxury road tax, what's included

I'm not privileged as I only spend on new caravans and cars having not been abroad for 15 years now... And I paid bought my mortgages off in under 8 years, so have that income to spend on cars and caravans. So you own your own home, and you can afford to buy new cars and caravans. There are people ...

Re: Infotainment failed to turn on

Quick update: Issue is still on going/repeated. Car is booked in for fully analysis 10th November. Interestingly battery died today and AA have started it needs replacement. Will follow up on next updates as battery will need changing + full analysis still to happen too. In that case it seems highl...

Re: MY20 AID 2 - my dials have disappeared

🤣😂 After my long term milage issue last week I thought I was getting another software glitch. Learn something new everyday. Could your long term mileage issue have been the same thing as the reset button for it is next to the 'View' button. Perhaps you pressed it without realising it?. :!: Think I ...

Re: Engine warning light.

I suspect it has seen an error in a sensor. I recently had this which turned out to be the G505 sensor in my case, or in plain English the DPF pressure sensor which needed replacing. It still drove perfectly. You need to take it to the VW dealer to diagnose the problem. Mine cost £200 to fix. I pos...
