Re: Panoramic sunroof

No issues with panoramic sunroof on mine. VW did not install spider traps / end caps on the front sunroof drains my R-Line Tech located in the scuttle. It is easy to check they are draining ok with a jug of water. Use the sunroof regularly and is one of my favourite items on the car - would personal...

Re: Rated Options

I have an R-Line Tech and my must have options from your list: Pano roof - the VAG pano cassette includes slide and tilt opening. VW no longer fit end caps / ‘spider traps’ to the roof front drains which can also be removed and should prevent a block / flood issue - do a search to understand the iss...

Re: Sunroof drain tube location

The caps were not fitted to the front drains on mine. Looks like VW have learned and no longer fit them to the front. Checked with water and they were working fine

Re: Spider Traps

About to book my Tiguan in for its second annual service.
Should I request dealer checks sunroof drains and remove the end caps?
Is this a service action item in the uk as it is in US?

Re: Hot or burning smell

VW 2l petrol engines are fitted with petrol or gasoline particulate filters (Gpf) - they also regen and run hot burn off hydrocarbons when they do this. I raised a thread in technical on this if you do a search.

Re: Throttle Response Behaviour Change

I altered my Tiguan’s throttle control setting yesterday using my Carista device and I can’t believe how much better the car feels to drive. Gone has the slight hesitation between the engine and the DSG box especially when cold. Does anyone know why VW doesn’t have this set like this from the Facto...

Re: Tiguan facelift allegedly to bring hot R version

The Skoda Kodiaq vRS starts at 44k and that's with the 240 diesel engine. I would imagine any Tiguan R would almost certainly be a few thousand more, but as has already been pointed out the Porsche Macan starts at 47k. All depends what badge you prefer on the bonnet, but to me they are all over pri...

Re: 2020 VW Tiguan (facelift) leaked

Is that it? Seems like they suffered from the current mk2 being so well received / not criticised they have played too safe and only tinkered with a result which looks less resolved IMO.
Looks like the grille is smoothed for less drag / improved mpg like the golf.

Re: BlackStyle reveiled

Stunning. Love the look - makes it look expensive. Audish or a bit LR Velar black pack. The leather lifts the interior without being too pale. On a practical level the alloys look great in showroom condition but if they grin the alloy when kerbed and the Suzukas are kerb hunters - these could look t...
