Re: Hot Spot Issues

Back to Pear Tree's original question regarding hot spot. I have an Android phone which I use as a hot spot for laptops and tablets (not the Tig, I have a wingle for that). In order for the other devices to automatically connect I have to grant them permission as an allowed device in the phone setti...

Re: Average MPG consumption values

I have a 240ps AllSpace (MY18) now with around 14,500 miles on the clock. Since around the 10k mark the on-board computer regularly indicates just over 40 mpg for journeys greater than around 10 miles. The 17 miles or so of 50 mph average speed through the M6 roadworks (thank heavens for ACC) gets i...

Re: MY20 Changes

Having to wave my foot under the car whilst carrying a wheelchair/walking frame doesn’t seem the best way for me. If it works anything like the current button, you activate the close BEFORE loading your arms. It then waits for you to pickup your items and walk away. If you have a free hand/foot to ...

The extras you get include real-time updates to traffic and re-routing around hot-spots. You can also get access to on-line POIs, weather, news, and several other topics.

Re: Tiguan Internet access

If you don't mind sharing your route information with the Chinese government then the Huawei E8372 wingle (WiFi Dongle) is a good option.

Re: Part Ex fault advice.

My car took 7 months from order. During that time I continued to use my car. Over that time it needed new tyres and a service. My salesman kept telling me not to spend any money on it and not to have it serviced. Be honest and upfront (as you would want the dealership to be). You are already prepare...

The built in SIM is not user accessible. You can't change it, as it's VW's.

Re: Tiguan Internet access

There are several threads on this forum regarding installing a wingle and a free 200 Mb/month data SIM from 3 (search the forum for wingle). Other people turn on the wifi hot-spot on their phone and connect to that. For most uses, the 200 Mb is about 160 Mb more than you'll use! The wingle solution ...

Re: Didn't realise the Tig had this

My MY18 (UK) Allspace with electric seats does ALL the things he says, even those he says he can't get to work (open/close all windows from fob; open/close all windows from drivers door window button with the ignition off). Maybe it's new on MY19 in the US (like the indicator repeater on wing in fro...
