Re: Tiguan and Q5 Facelifts to be released this week.

My daughter and SIL who works for Mercedes has had dozens of management cars, but its only the more upmarket models have have real quality IMO, at the moment daughter has a GLC which isn't a patch on her previous GLE.

For the money the Tiguan isn't bad value.

Re: We Connect / Car-Net communication?

Built in sim was fitted around 2018 on SEL and Rline models.

To use all the apps you also need the plugin Bluetooth module that fits in the ecu port.

Re: Tiguan Greenhouse

Can't say I have had a heat issue with any car, its unrealistic to expect any car to not get hot inside when its hot outside... Having a sunroof probably helps with cooling as you can open it fully to allow the excess heat to escape easily, although i didn't feel the need to open any window yesterda...

Re: Case study of moronic software engineering

Talking to you, VW engineers searching the web for customer feedback: I find it outrageous that the Active Info Display in Tiguans is missing any sort of time indication. The two slots in the middle of the clocks could very neatly incorporate an analog clock (such an obvious idea for utilizing this...

Re: Ride comfort

I test drove both a rtech and sel and found comfort both ok, however the extra road noise generated by the rtech wider wheels was noticeably louder on the motorway.

I'm on my second auto now and wont be buying another manual car again, I've driven both a TC and DSG and find both do the job.

Re: VW Customer Services

VW CS are the worst i have ever dealt with... I can beat that, I've been waiting 81 days for a £6K refund from P&O for 2 cruises cancelled due to the Corona virus. I was only comparing my car owning experiences. Or I would have put Talktalk as the worst ever, assuming you can even understand the pe...

Try JLR they are even worse, JLR are by far the most unhelpful customer service department.
JLR don't sell any cars i would want to buy, so I'll take your word for that.
