I wouldn't waste my time with a manual version go Dsg and 4 motion, most dsg come with 7 speeds and hill starts couldn't be easier.
Totally agree PLUS you can use the "flappy paddles" when you fancy a bit of "manual" driving. (Also handy downhill when towing)

Re: Replacement wing mirror

Was referring to Blind Spot detectors... I think when talking about mirrors nearly all of us are referring to the whole unit as opposed to just the glass, just as a clarification regarding calibration. I wasn't talking about the glass... I said the BLIND SPOT DETECTORS ARE AT THE REAR BEHIND THE BU...

Re: Replacement wing mirror

No calibration involved in the mirror. The area view camera is contained within the mirror housing therefore will need calibrating upon replacement. Was referring to Blind Spot detectors... No can do, then; seems you need to put trust in the big brother.
If you've got a modern phone then Big Brother already has your fingerprint or face details along with your bank and card details address and much much more. Time to worry about it has loooong passed my friend.

Re: Tracker connections.

Yeah I agree with JK. Piggy back to "unimportant" fuses in the fuse box eg: heated rear screen, wing mirror movement/heating etc. Without looking at my fusebox diagram, I can't tell you if those fuses actually exist but you get the idea.

Re: REAR SEAT COMFORT

Have you checked the tyre pressures since you've had it? The dealers idea of 38psi and the actual psi has been noted on here to be way higher on occasions.

Not sure I'd want to dim the high level brake light like that! The brighter the better IMO.

Re: Caravan routes with VW Sat Nav.

There is a setting for towing a trailer. I haven't been brave enough to use it preferring my Garmin camper 660 that has never let me down. I only use the car's satnav when solo. Trailer mode doesn't have anything to do with the route, according to the owners manual all it does is: https://i.imgur.c...

Yep back of the door handle to open and thumb over the front indent to close. Never had an issue.
