Re: Heating The Car Up before a trip

Additional question. Does Carista allow to disable the car from moving if the key isn't inside the car?

Re: Heating The Car Up before a trip

I've just bought Carista dongle from Amazon. (30% off aparently)

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00YVHGTBM/ ... -insta5-21

Does the key fob thing work for free or would I need a subscription?

Re: Heating The Car Up before a trip

Worrying that I've just left the car unlocked the whole time thinking it couldn't be driven off!! So.... if we were going on a long trip, I could start the car, dash up stairs for something i've forgotten, leave the car key on the side, and drive hours away and not be able to start the car? You'd th...

Heating The Car Up before a trip

Hi, I have been resorting to going out and putting the car engine on, with the max a/c, wing mirror heaters and the chair heaters on and then coming back in the house, with the key. Am I right in thinking I cannot lock the car with the engine running, but at the same time no one can drive off in it,...

That's a mighty expensive coffee tin you have there :)

I actually quite like it. It's very small.

Re: Keyless Entry / Faraday Pouch. REVIEW: SAMFOLK MINI FRADAY

Thanks. I "think" I've decided to embrace the keyless aspect when out and about, and just carry the key in my bag / pocket and not bother with a pouch day to day. But I have just bought one of these to keep the keys in when at home and parked on the drive when we won't be using the any more that day...

Re: Keyless Entry / Faraday Pouch. REVIEW: SAMFOLK MINI FRADAY

Hi, I originally wrote this review - so my apologies to everyone. It seems the pouches work well for a while then stop working. I only recently noticed mine weren't working, because I only have it in the house and never tested it. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Ideally one that is small...

Re: Paint Repair

The new handle route I have been quoted as £153.88 inc VAT.

Smart repair from VW is £60 too. So although it's outsourced, I'd rather go through them than my local Chips Away franchise as I've never used them, and if something goes wrong I'd rather be chasing VW.....

Re: Paint Repair

We skipped the monkey enclosure. That's why I was extra peeved. Did the right thing, and still managed to get the car damaged!! We're not having a good run since getting the car in late June. We had a front left wheel recut due to my wife kerbing it, a smart repair on front bumper when someone rever...
