Re: 2019 2.0 TSI 190 R-Line Tech Fuel Consumption

ZaheerUK, not dissimilar to my mileage out of the 1.4tsi. And similar driving pattern. I'm getting a diesel next time (Monday [emoji3526]) so looks like I won't expect much overall difference. I'm just going to give my current car the once over before it goes off (also Monday) and my long term aver...

Re: DPF Soot Level

I have purchased a bottle of “Redex Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner”. Apparently if you use it every other or third tank , it helps to lower the temperature at which the soot burns - recommended if doing a lot of short runs. In my case I do maybe 10-15 short runs a day!

Re: DPF Soot Level

Strangely - I mentioned this to my dealer that I was worried about the DPF with my driving style and short journeys. He told me not to worry as modern DPF’s were way better and managing soot level. He advised against the 190 TSI 4 motion I was initially considering saying that I would be horrified b...

Re: 2019 2.0 TSI 190 R-Line Tech Fuel Consumption

Around town in my 150 diesel I get an average of around 25/26mpg - on a recent 140 mile run to Birmingham and back I got 42mpg driving very carefully (I drove at 65mph on motorway but never above 70) with only 3 passengers. I don’t see much difference between Eco and Normal so i now drive in normal ...

Re: DPF Soot Level

Thank you CNC. I have got the Carista and the dongle but I couldn’t see an option for DPF level. I do a lot of several stop start short journeys <2 miles for a total of nearly 15/16 miles a day littering around town and work. Once if every 2/3 weeks the car is on the motorway doing a 17 mile run wit...

DPF Soot Level

Is there a way to read the soot level in the Dpf on a Tiguan?
I can’t understand why car manufactures don’t give a soot level reading in the dashboard/AID. Would make it far easier to know when a regen is required etc

Re: Traffic Jam Assist

Spanner in the works (again!). My car which I picked up 7 days ago was specced with Emergency Assist. However, when cruise is activated in town traffic, lane assist is not activated (yellow lines) below speed of 37mph. I thought they would stay green all the way down to 0?? I’m sure that TJA is part...

Lane guidance works down to zero with Traffic Jam Assist. It will also work down to zero with Emergency Assist, but ONLY in an emergency. Don’t confuse TJA with Emergency Assist.

Re: Tiguan - Emergency Assist Option

Thank you for the response guys. Just one thing is still not clear - I thought lane guidance would work BELOW 37mph all the way down to zero if you had Emergency Assist - on my replaced car with Side Scan it goes Yellow under 37

Tiguan - Emergency Assist Option

Ok - I’ve searched the forum and the internet and I can’t seem to find the answer to my question. Just driven my new Tiguan all the way back (70miles) from Hull. I ordered HUD, Rear Heated Seats, TPMS and Emergency Assist. Now, I know that in UK we don’t get Traffic Jam Assist activated - however my...
