Re: Snow mode

This might be interesting for those who would like an explanation of the various ‘modes’ on the 4Motion selector wheel....

Re: Aircon problem

Hi Mathebe, it may be that the Climatronic system would benefit from being recalibrated. This is not difficult, and worth a try, here’s a video that shows how to do it for a mk7 Golf, but the Tiguan is the same method........

Re: Battery Memory savers

Tamma, I think you’ll find that the fob takes a CR2025 battery, not a 2032. The only differences in the two is that 25 and 32 are the thickness in mm (2.5 and 3.2), and the 25 is 160mA and the 32 is 230mA. The 2032 might fit, but could be a bit tight, and could damage the contacts!

Re: Battery Memory savers

I know nothing about Battery Memory Savers, but with regard to the VW Data Plug, I’ve had mine plugged into the OBD since I got it, and only removed it to use my Carista plug, and my battery hasn’t gone flat yet (fingers well and truly crossed🤞🤞). I would imagine it draws minimal power while not be...

Re: VW MOT machine broken

Dazzler, you are in a very awkward position here. If you drive the car to work, then in the eyes of the law you are acting illegally, irrespective of the Garage’s failure to get the MOT ‘machine’ working, and as ExAudiSi say’s, in the eyes of the law, you are only allowed to drive without an MOT if ...

Re: Latest map update, speed limit signs

I know that Waze shows the speed limits on the map (think it's an option you can turn off, not sure ) but whether they are correct I don't know. I really cant see the importance of it to be honest. I'd rather we all looked out of the windscreen and concentrated on things around rather than the dash...

Re: Latest map update, speed limit signs

Whats annoying though is CarPlay doesn't dictate the speed limit display in the instrument panel, so that still shows the wrong speed when using carplay. Ok if you've passed a sign for it to dynamically ready it, not so good when you haven't and it refers to the Nav speed - and particularly on Dual...

Re: Latest map update, speed limit signs

exactly the same as tomtom then lol, which is why i stick to waze Ditto. Waze has diverted me around roadworks, reported debris in the road, told me the police were up ahead. So much more than the others and now that it works with Apple Carplay, it's my "go to" navigation. Excuse the pun! ;) Totall...
