Re: myVolkswagen and Digital Service book

@Tammma

I don’t think independent garages they have access to the database for update myVW - but they are able to access the Digital Servicebook (a separate database) as this goes with the car if/when it is sold.

Re: myVolkswagen and Digital Service book

One thing to also point out is to check your service has even been recorded online as mine was not recorded and had to contact the dealer to get it added, not good when you don't have the service book where you can just check easily. It is easy to miss. I'm actually going to phone up the new garage...

The "My Volkswagen" app is no longer supported on IOS App Store in the UK.
I realised that, so I went onto myVolkswagen on my MacBook:

myVolkswagen and Digital Service book

Hello all, Further to my other post regarding an inaccurately filled out service booklet here... https://www.tiguanforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=7569 On 17/10/2019, I had my car serviced by a main VW dealer. They advised that the 4 Wheel Drive oil and Brake Fluid were both due to be changed, so I...

Re: Mk2 2017 Squeaky Clutch??

Dropped my car into the garage tonight, and 20 minutes of the heated blower on the footwell has solved it! Thank you very much for the tip.

Re: Mk2 2017 Squeaky Clutch??

Hello! Thanks for the prompt, I keep meaning to reply. I haven’t done anything to it as yet. I thought (as silly as it may sound) that as it has been sitting in the cold for a while - nowhere to go - that it might just be cold. So whenever I’ve been driving I’ve had the heating pointing to the foot...

Re: Mk2 2017 Squeaky Clutch??

Hello The car has been sat for a few days over Christmas, I took it out 2 days ago and it was fine, took it out yesterday and the clutch pedal has started squeaking. If I get in the footwell and push the pedal down the squeak seems to come from the actual pedal, as if there’s movement within the fo...

Re: Inaccurately filled out service booklet

Didn't realise any of the mk2's had physical service books. I imagine one of the reasons they stopped doing them was dealers are incapable of completing them correctly. My Mercedes is exactly the same. I've spent 5yrs trying to get the info on the MyVW app correct. VW CS triumphantly emailed me say...

Re: Inaccurately filled out service booklet

I would put the invoice inside the service book on that page and that shows exactly the work you paid to have done. As others have said its not unusual for someone to not fill out the service book correctly but your invoice shows the work you paid for. Newer cars do not even have a service book so ...

Inaccurately filled out service booklet

Hello, I had my car serviced on 17/10/2019 at 41,878 miles and I requested that a longline service was done as my style of driving was more suited to this service type. I bought my car second hand, and the previous owner had it on the fixed regime. Under the 'your next services' at the bottom of the...
