Re: Long Term, Since refill and Since start mileage keeps resetting

Re: ACC & Sensor impaired

Did our first long journey today ( Fife to Berkshire c.480 miles) and it worked fine through all the heavy rain, spray etc, but during a sunny spell we got the error report and yellow symbol, first time ever. I was telling Mrs Blackstar, who was doing the driving stint at the time, that I had just r...

Re: How to hardwire a dashcam

The Nextbase dashcam on my motorhome stopped working the other day and it was the spade terminal to the earth screw that had come away. Reattached it and tightened the screw, Bob's yer auntie.

Re: Shattering Sunroofs

Steve - I was thinking the exact same thing. I actually brought my significant other (to has a habit of slamming the boot) into the room to show her what can happen. I think the next time this happens, I might just proactively open a small gap in my driverside window just in case... T That's intere...

Re: Front assist and air bag

Interesting; when I first got the car and was trying everything out, I was setting the ACC while driving on some of our country roads which although classed as A roads can be quite bendy. I found that if the car had slowed from the set speed to match the car in front's speed, if we went around a sh...

Re: Auto Hold off when parking?

Also interested in Rory's mention that it's a legal requirement to set the handbrake on an automatic even when in PARK - can you give a legal reference for that, assuming you mean in the UK? If it's so, then I'll need to turn myself in for hundreds of offences to be taken into consideration as I've...

Re: Auto Hold off when parking?

Have driven automatics and manuals for yonks and have never used my left foot in an automatic. I have held the car on the footbrake with my right leg, however, when required. Also interested in Rory's mention that it's a legal requirement to set the handbrake on an automatic even when in PARK - can ...
