Re: Service and Tyre Wear

On the Pirellis my Tig would constantly slip on dynamic acceleration - mostly on wet surface (after/during rain), but also on dry roads occasionally. This never happened since the swap. So I'm surprised you are recommending it. To me it's complete toss. I sold the nearly new set to a local tyre deal...

Re: Service and Tyre Wear

Had Vredesteins Quadrac Pro (all-season) fitted last month (255/45/19 here) and they're great. Improvement over the factory Pirellis traction-wise and no noise.

Re: Which tiguan engine?

If you cruise a lot (regardless of final monthly mileage), go with diesel. The acceleration in the 60-120 range will probably be worth it. Otherwise, just forget it.

Re: New Tiguan Prices and Specifications brochure

Yes, the missing lid and tables are definitely a pity. The tables are doing a great job taking my son's merciless kicks and protecting the seat upholstery. Other than that it seems like the typical price step-up (didn't study the price lists too much as it's not my market anyway)... You still can ge...

Re: New Tiguan Prices and Specifications brochure

What are the downgrades apart from the missing cupholder lid and folding tables? Let's not discuss the steering wheel and A/C - IMHO these both are a step forward, though I have yet to try the steering wheel buttons in terms of their responsiveness.

Re: Last post.... quick review of Touareg after years of Tiguans ( for those that asked)

Politeness is a good thing, but knowing the first thing about the cars you're selling is even better, which is where some stealers are definitely lacking if we look at the different accounts online. It's mostly probably undertraining and excessive staff turnover. Also, the overall situation would ce...

Re: Last post.... quick review of Touareg after years of Tiguans ( for those that asked)

less blingy which I like, doesn’t shout, ‘look at me’! I don't know, I always look at them, more than on the recent BMWs whose design is a bit cheap and tacky IMHO. Enjoy the ride in your new bourgoi cruiser; we'll have to stick to our proletarian Tigs for now, but a Touareg will definitely be an o...

Re: TSI 150bhp Experience

I'm surprised people buy non-Allspaces. My Allspace boot is just large enough to fit in a stroller or two large travel cases. And yes, 1.5 is great.

Re: Clutch judder moving off in 1st gear at 13000 miles.

On a second thought, those problems concerned 1.5 TSI only, so your issue is probably something else, even if the symptoms are the same.
