Re: Configurator now live

Whenever a new model comes out they initially produce only the most popular versions, with engines and models added as production builds up. Give it a few months and a lot more variations will be available.

Re: Advice needed on a couple of possible faults.

Re the mirror, the position is not predetermined, but it remembers the setting by the driver (probably the previous owner). The steps you are taking are right, , Once it moves, change it to where you want it to be. After deselecting reverse and driving forward it should return to your normal setting...

Re: Auto Hold off when parking?

No, the discussion here is on autohold, which retains the footbrake hold even when you remove your foot from the brake, and releases when you touch the accelerator. This can get also in the way when manoeuvering as it wants to hold the brakes when you might just want a light touch. Manoeuvre braking...

Re: Which tow bar mk2 tig

Definitely dedicated electrics. You get so much integrated functionality with the dedicated system, and you could screw things up so badly trying to patch into the existing lights. E.g the side stoplight is a single filament circuit, with pulse width modulation for dim sidelight and bright stoplight.

Re: TSI 150bhp Experience

I see where shannod2 is coming from; old school, moving from 2 litre to 1.5 is a step down. However with current petrol engines cc's are almost meaningless, and it's the power that's the key. Personally, I drive a mk1 Tig, 177ps. The misses has a T-Cross, 3cyl 1 litre. In theory this should be gutle...

Re: Facelift Configurator Now Live in Germany

I'm offended :-) :-) Personally I prefer the look of the mk1 (I may be biased though) and the facelift definitely improved the mk1. I found the mk2 to be too angular. For that reason I like the T-Roc over the mk2, though it might be size as well, since they went up a size for the mk2.

Re: Facelift Configurator Now Live in Germany

I thought this before with other cars whether they already have the facelift design in the drawer. I wonder if they have various designs, then say 'design 15 can be the facelift', 'but lets go with design 6 for the initial release'. Knowing people will want to go for the nicer one after a few years....

Re: Front seat removal

From memory of comments on the all Tiguan forum, you'll get several warnings but most will go away once you exercise that function, e.g. Steering you need to turn full lock to full lock to calibrate the sensor. Windows to calibrate anti pinch fully down, hold button down for several seconds, fully u...

Re: DRL Fitment Type (Again Sorry)

Sorry, I don't know the mk2 bulbs specifically, however I do know the w5w is a single filament 5 watt bulb, about as bright as a candle. They used to be used for sidelights, but if as mentioned it now uses the same bulb dual filament then it's definitely not this. Best thing is to open up one side a...
