Re: Snow mode

That's my experience also. I had an Stype Jag a while ago which was RWD and one Christmas went to collect the inlaws. The carpark outside their flat was level, and Black ice had settled on it. As I tried to turn around the car would just slide. Even trying reverse, the car was sliding forward on a v...

Re: Service book.

I have issues with this, I've a mk1 2015 so got a service book. I had it serviced annually, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. Fortunately I've kept the receipts and have a stamped service book because according to VW online service record it wasn't serviced in 2017. I brought this to the attention of VW and t...

Re: Gap and alloy wheel insurance

Regarding GAP, both my recent insurers give you a brand new replacement on a write off new car in its first year, so there isn't a gap to insure for the First 12 months. I'd check your insurance policy before forking out.

Personally I think all the extras they try to add onto the sale are a rip off.

Re: That old Rev Camera Chestnut !

Ok, my twopenneth: The camera is not a sensing aid like the parking sensors, it's totally visual. Your car has blind spots from the C pillars. Even with the ability of an owl to swivel your head 360 you can't see everything and immediately behind you from inside, nor from the door mirrors which cut ...

Re: Mark 2 Tiguan Auto heating function

I will if it's very cold, turn it off until I see the engine warming up so as not to blow cold around the car. I have the luxury of heated seats :-) What you could be feeling is 'ram air' effect. Don't know if when you turn climate off it closes down the heat valve, but it doesn't close the air flap...

Re: Clock display on digital cockpit?

Massive design error IMO.... Some great looking clocks that will only show with the infotainment OFF!!!!! Does anyone drive around with it switched off? No music, no Nav, do the phone calls get through? Probably not.....absolutely ridiculous. You can have music ect with the screen turn off in setti...

Isn't the clock displayed in the top centre on the media display?

Re: How to tell what optional extras are on my mk2?

Awesome, have done this.. discovered that I have the foot-wavy-booty-openy thing, and a couple of other treats. DAB wasn't listed in the radio though. Hoping this is just an omission or something I can add. So long as Android auto works I'll likely never need the radio though. Don't believe the med...

Re: enable sign recognition?

I added High beam assist to misses T-Cross Rline. Just one thing to check is your headlamp switch toggle or momentary? I.e. When you push away does it stay there or return to the centre. If the latter great, then it'll work as you need the flick on to set the assist. It does work really well.
