Re: She finally did it

It does look a mess. The flare extensions on the bottom of R-Line doors are screwed on so new could replace the damaged ones (so long as the door skin itself is okay). The running boards have 3 brackets along their length so could be removed quite easily. I would imagine the wheel arch trim is the s...

Re: Resetting lights for LHS after driving in France

Apologies, forgot not everyone lives on a LHD island!
If driving across different timezones of a large continent and only clock needs to change, GPS would be more than useful for auto adjusting the location time.

Re: Resetting lights for LHS after driving in France

Hi, Im a 'Frequent Traveller' account holder on Eurotunnel and spend roughly month about in UK/France. While on the train I set lights for LHD or RHD relevant to destination along with units - mph/kmh and time. All this is manually changed via infotainment screen. My lights are LED, is the function ...

Re: Tiguan allspace Match 2.0 TDI

Well mine is a 67 plate 190ps R-Line, but mine has 'the hole' but it is filled by the factory fitted swivel towbar.
Guess 'the hole' is there to accommodate towbar should the option be selected, or a retro fit.

Re: Driver's front door pocket.

I was under the impression the High Viz had to be put on before getting out of car, hence being stowed in door pocket slot.
In France the Gendarmes could fine you for it being in the boot and not accessible before getting out of car.

That's my understanding.

Re: Headlight adjustment for driving on right active

Hi, I'm back and to from France pretty much month about (Eurotunnel) so changing the LED headlight setting, along with clock and speed/milage happens each way during the crossing. Never had a problem BUT the auto dip is not so good for recognising oncoming HGVs on the Autoroutes. I'm presuming the s...

Re: Front head rest

Brilliant! Since purchasing our 67 plate demonstrator in Feb 2018 we have 'managed' with the front head restraints set too high, especially for my wife. Succeeded in lowering them yesterday, albeit the driver's seat took a number of attempts to get it to move. Our imminent (and regular) 700 mile jou...

Re: Side steps

Not much use other than loading roof bars. They do help keep sides clean (fitted on my R-Line demonstrator). They do look cool and complete the look IMHO! Not sure I would splash out as an option though.
