Agreed Tricky.
There were recalls on the DQ200 (2009 to 2015) in Aus and NZ but nothing to do with the Tig

I think that the point the OP is making is that VW UK are denying / hiding the issue when other countries have acknowledged it and have issued recalls to fix it.
Not for the DSGs fitted to the Tiguan
No hiding going on
Unless you've got evidence to the contrary?

No need for that - I was attempting to clarify the point that the OP was making that appeared to have been missed.

I don't expect to fact check what everyone says on this forum. If OP says other countries have a recall for this then I take his word.

.
My point stands. You were restating the point (several times) as if it were fact, not second hand news. Then you blame it on the OP.

We’ve had those with the 150ps and 230ps with issues, there’s two different gearboxes to start with and different years. Is it not the same mechatronics for all of them with just a different map for the different box? I’m truly guessing here as my knowledge of the mechanics of the car is scant.
Part numbers all different, so maybe some embedded firmware (6sp v 7sp etc), but rebuild costs here are the same
