Hi there,
I am about to buy a new Tiguan with Area View and I was wondering how the system works with the wing mirrors folded.
Basically I need to fold mirrors every time I park (narrow gate) and I know I can do so with the knob from the inside.
Now, since the Area View uses cameras that are on wing mirrors, I was wondering what will happen if I start the engine, fold the mirrors with the knob and then turn the Area View on. Will it:
- display an error of some sort?
- unfold the mirrors automatially?
- keep the mirrors folded and only display views from rear / front cameras?
Re. the last point, with Area View, is it possible to have the mirrors folded and use the Rear Riew camera only. Unfortunately the test car I drove had the Rear View camera (no Area View) and it's no problem there... Just wondering how it is with Area View?
Has anyone checked that? Or please can anyone check that with their Tigu?
Many thanks in advance for any advice!
