In our Aussie models there are stickers on the B pillar with the Build date on them, EG the date it rolled out the factory door.

Mine has 2 stickers Build date is Nov 22 2018 Compliance sticker is Feb14 2019 and delivery was 11 Mar 2019

Car is an MY 19 which started production in Aug 2018.. Was built the week before the new AID started (luckily)

Most car MY, Model Year Prev model ends about July, factory tools up for new model and production starts Aug/Sept and goes till sometimes an update Mar/Apr and ends again in July.

My Passat MY 10 was a Mar build delivered in June, the same week the MY10.5 started
