Hi, This is my first post...Had my 66 plate Tiguan SEL for 3 months and done 7000 miles, noticed all 4 brake rotors are really rusting already on the main hub part.
Anyone had the same issue? I know parts are liable to rust but surely after 12 weeks this isn't good
Has anyone managed to get them changed or cleaned for free by a dealership
The car looks great with the 19 inch alloys but the rust around the rotors make it look like a 2nd hand car already and I'm very disappointed with the lack of longevity of this part
Is it worth speaking to the dealership or will my complaint fall on deaf ears?
Thanks Martin

Normal I'm afraid my previous Tig and Audi Q5 were the same. Only option is wheels off and a brush with Hammerite.

Hi MartinW, I also commented on this on a recent post as well. Had the car since May, and with 14k miles done, the brake calipers and rotor hubs were corroding quicker than any other car I had. Don't know if its poorer or cheaper paints or the excessive salt being dumped on the roads. I took it to my local dealer and they had no problem cleaning the calipers up and painting the hubs, without cost. Looks like new again!
