What with Nissan possibly having to call in the administrators and VW talking about closing a couple of factories, looks like anyone ordering a new Tiguan or any VW may be in for a long wait.
First it was”diesel gate” and WTLP figures then parts shortages due to the war in Ukraine and now strikes at VW plants.

It’s a real shame to see VW going down hill so rapidly as it is with most other motor manufacturers (except the Chinese) Having worked for VW in sales for a few years I know their products then were really good but not so much now and that includes my current Black Edition compared the R Line Tech I had before, poor software is a pretty big problem too but the reason I believe for their demise it mainly down this NOT ZERO nonsense the religious ideology cult that is really screwing the West right now and it won’t end well, just my opinion

Totally agree. I don’t know what the governments were thinking adding a fine for each electric car unsold below the quotas. They can’t make us buy them if we don’t want them and this will be the case until they start to look better, last longer (batteries) and cost less. I’m not holding my breath! Anyone fancy JLR’s new concept EV? Pink or blue? You will also need a chauffeur called Parker if you go for the pink one 🤣

VW will be well supported by the other brands in the family of cars.

I think there electric cars are bland and hurting the brand and unless they start to produce a car with more interior style and exterior they will be left behind.

Which is a shame as VW have produced some good cars in the past.

There is no way I will be paying 50K for a Tiguan. it is simply not worth that. if you are going to pay that sort of cash then an extra 5/8k buys a Bema x3 or a q5 or a lexus NX. or you drop 10k and het a sportage GTS AWD or Hyundai Ultimate which are now far far better value. and much longer warranties.
