Hi, first post on the forum. I recently put my 2017 Tiguan SEL through an ARC car wash, I wash it this way maybe once per month. After washing the car a fault message appeared mentioning a left turn light fault. This cleared but the green LH indicator on the dash is on permanently. This clears after using the indicator to turn left, but returns after a few seconds. The indicator is very slightly slow to respond. I assume water has “got into the workings”somehow but seems most reluctant to dry out. I have had in the past the common problem of the orange warning triangle appearing on the dash during very wet weather, this seems to dry out quite quickly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reminds me of the 'good ol days' when my Mk3 Escort would light up like a Christmas Tree at the back if a dared to indicate and brake at the same time.
May need to disconnect the indicator somehow to let it dry thoroughly. And make a note to yourself never to go back there......

Sounds like water has somehow got past the headlamp sealing from the outside unless a bung is missing in the engine bay
In the old days, a can of WD40 would be sprayed on the electric connectors to dissipate the damp - may be worth a try

Final outcome of this problem.
I ended up at a main dealer as the problem was just getting worse and worse, the whole lighting arrangement at the front of the car was unreliable, working sometimes, not working other times. The fix was a new headlight unit and control unit. Toal bill was £1540. OUCH. The problem is, however, rectified.
