Tiguan on order, while I wait for delivery my attention is turned to upgrading phone to play Spotify in the car, via mobil phone and choosing phone to give best sound quality. I have a premium subscription and have downloaded playlists at home via wifi to save on 4g data
Here is the the problem.
I am doing some research and I have found on both apple and andriod forums that people are having issues with sound quality when plugged in via USB-C to both apple carplay and andriod auto They complain of poor sound quality compared to either bluetooth or 3.5mm aux cable
People have tried high quality usb-c cables which makes no difference.
The best results they get with various phones in various cars is using 3.5mm jack
I would like to use the cars touchscreen to skip tracks and change playlists via Spotify
I would like to hear if anyone has any suggestions, in the meantime I have included a link which I stumbled across that sheds some technical light on the problem
