Hi all, recently I bought a Tiguan Allspace 2.0 TDI Biturbo 241HP DSG7 R-Line 7seater and wondering if you could advise me on the engine oil requirements.

So far, by reading this forum, I understand in this engine, the oil recommended is Castrol Edge 5W-30 VW 507 00 and the quantity needed is 4,9 litres for an oil change with filter.

Are these correct guys?

It doesn't have to be Castrol, as long as it's 5W-30 and meets VW 507 spec it will be fine. Last time mine needed a top up I got the oil from Tesco as it was cheaper at £5.00/litre, Castrol is usually more than double this price https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/285281587

Anyone for this guys? What is the quantity of oil needed for a regular change (with oil filter), for the 2.0 TDI Biturbo 241HP engine?

Thanks, I've already seen that but don't know if it's correct or not.

In another site with technical data of the car, says 5,5l....

Can't believe that VW is so unorganised....

I can only comment on the pedestrian single turbo EA288 engine, this uses 4.6l of oil when changed. A handy amount as it leaves you with 400ml of oil in the bottle to top up with.

Well, after speaking to the local VW Dealer, the 2.0 TDI Biturbo engine takes 5,5l of oil with oil filter change, and the factory recommends is Castrol Edge 5W-30 VW 507 00.

FYI

The following information is what I got from the VW dealer. It's intended for the VW Tiguan 2,0 TDI 150hp (110 kW) 2019, with engine DFGA.

Oil type: VW 507 00 (VW specifically says NOT to use the new oil standard VW 509 00)
Oil amount: 4,7 liters (with filter change)

For the work itself you need a torque wrench and a 32 MM socket for the filter cap. The plastic cover underneath the engine needs to be taken off (in total 11 screws, 3 of which need to be replaced with new ones). Above the cover is the oil filter with its cap. On top of the oil filter cap is the drain plug, which needs to be replaced with a new one. There are two o-rings that need to be replaced, one small with the drain plug and a larger one with the oil filter.

Torques used:

Drain plug 5 Nm, Oil filter cap 25 Nm.
Screws for the plastic engine cover: 3 on the left side (2 Nm) and 4 on the right (2 Nm), 3 on the back (6 Nm - these 3 need to be replaced), 1 in the front (1 Nm).

Hi all, just an update for the amount of oil needed for the engine oil change with filter, on the Tiguan Allspace 2.0 TDI Biturbo 241HP.

I changed it yesterday and the oil quantity it took was 4,9l. So, if you buy the 5L package, it perfect.
