Can anybody with a new Tig tell me where the front USB C sockets are positioned please, if you look at the VW website it looks like are in the armrest cubby but I thought they were in the front of the console next to the 12v socket.

As A1VWD says, they’re in the centre console. The VW website photo is a generic one (it’s not even a Tiguan).

Yeah, I’ve fitted a short extension cable, that way not only is it easier to get at but I won’t wear the ports out by constant swapping between mine and my wife’s music selections…
