Did these problems not show up during your test drive?
 
Unfortunately, unless you point out the issues and they agree to fix them, then the car is 'sold as seen'.
Good luck in getting it fixed under the warranty, as in my experience, most items that are likely to need replacement, aren't covered.
Presumably this car came with a new MoT.....?
 
Just to clarify, I meant 'sold as seen' in the sense that, if you notice a problem before sale and ask them to fix it, and they do - then everything else is 'as is'.
Obvioulsly, other faults that might appear later may or may not be covered by warranty. I must say - I'm suprised the car got through the VW Approved Warranty checks with this problem.
I suspect it might be a brake issue- which is why I asked if the car had a new MoT. The brake testing should have revealed any imbalance.
