@skyjawa what colour is your Tiguan and am I correct saying it’s not R Line. I have the opportunity to order a new Tiguan for work but the budget doesn’t cover R Line. I was hoping to go Comfortline Manual 150Bhp with running boards yours looks pretty cool!

SEL. It's got LED headlights (and the three chrome bars on the grille) along with the Lower body plastic

Yeah its an SEL in Caribbean Blue, a colour which isn't available on the R-Line. We really like it, takes on different shades depending on the weather and in full sun really sparkles! Only fitted the boards as it helps our 5 year old get in and out a little easier, but now think they do add a little something to the cars look :)

Tidy.

Just driven back from our place in Littlehampton with the same (I think) Thule towbar mount. So much better than having them on the roof, although a little nervy seeing your expensive pride and joy wobbling a little, even though it's heavily strapped down.

We’re in Newton Abbot. Bring some better weather with you please.
How do you find it for towing. We are looking at one. (Currently have a CRV) but previously had a passat, whereby the gear ratios were too high in reverse, making it a pain parking the caravan..

No issues at all with towing. The ACC performs very well indeed. What I have noticed though is the stop/start doesn’t automatically inhibit as it suggests it does in the manual “when connected to a trailer” but this might be because all my caravans road lights are LED and this affects it linking up with the alarm system too as stated in the manual but haven’t actually tested it. The alarm when set with a trailer connected is meant to go off if the trailers electrics are unplugged but not if the lights are LED.
Tows very sure footed but that’s with a 190PS. Didn’t have to fit a VLM either (LED light issue you may or may not know about)
All in all, I’m very happy towing with it. Paul Newman, a member on here has tugged a twin axle across Europe and is very happy with it too, although he has the 240PS.

Thanks for the comments,I assume you have the factory fit towbar... that would be my choice.. My current one has an aftermarket towbar, so when the car was a week old, had a load of electronics and wiring done, next car would have it factory fit is my plan.
