mirogta -- are you sure ?

I have seen plenty of Tig owners in oz complain about the screw bolts recall fix.

I would have thought the technical bulletin was consistent worldwide.

Yeah, this is what one of them said:

> Car went to dealer at 0830 and ready for collection at 1600. They removed old adhesive and replaced with new and this had to allowed to cure properly, all on original spoiler. Spoiler still looks perfect with original joining "gap" maintained and middle for diddle all along. Wouldn't even know it had been repaired (hope it has !).

Mirogta...

See here...this guy got two screws up the spoiler in Aug. All I've seen is unhappy owners in Oz talk about the two screws...no one has had a new adhesive fix as far as I know, first I've heard of it today.

Peeps,

Just seen this on EU recalls

https://car-recalls.eu/recall/volkswage ... 2015-2019/

The roof-edge spoiler may not be secured enough due to an incorrect adhesive bond.

As a result, the spoiler may become detached in motion, posing a risk to the following traffic.

The Volkswagen Tiguan models affected by this recall were manufactured between 24 October 2015 and 30 June 2019.

VW recall code: 66L5

Unsure if this will affect UK owners (I suspect it does) but worth a phone call to enquire

In the PDF it stipulates :) R line vehicles

When my R line Tech went to the dealers for it's 2nd year oil change the other week, they stated that the vehicle was checked on ELSA ( :? ) for "outstanding product enhancements" which I took to mean recalls and none were found yet my build falls into the date range given on the notice.

Tubemonster, yeah I saw somewhere that only 2500 vehicles were affected. But then I saw the date range as something like 2017-2019.

I daresay VW would have sold more Rlines in the UK than that over 2-3 years...

I remember seeing a VIN range for this recall somewhere....
