Searching through threads on the Engine Management Light (Orange steady light on all the time) referring to a fault that affects the exhaust gas...

I noticed you have had the same fault and wanted to replace the Exhaust Pressure Sensor and ask whether you managed to do it on your own without the garage doing it. Did you need to calibrate it when replaced with new, as that would stop me from having a go?

Original part Number; 04L 906 051 G

I note what Earl-H says about having three different sensors, all with various differences, but being the same part number.... ;)
Very easy to change over, I was hoping the car's brains would just go back to normal once replaced. I guess the fault code would still stay showing, but I wouldn't have worried about that...

Hi my engine light came on yesterday, I have a VCDS and checked the error. The error recorded can be seen below.
Tomorrow I will purchase a new DPF sensor (original) from TPS who I'm told supply OEM parts to VW. Anyway I will report back with costs and how the installation goes.
I can confirm same part not as Hantshog's post.
Picture at the bottom.

Hi Welshwolf, having taken my car to my local garage (not the dealers), my suspicions were confirmed with this sensor.

Replacement Exhaust pressure sensor;
04L 906 051L Cost £51.98 including VAT.

Apparently, this is a known fault and the part has been upgraded.
Fault codes reset and all's well with me and the car again.
Not sure that the faults needed to be reset as I guess it would have sorted itself out once replaced.

On a separate fault with the rear parking error, it appears again that there is nothing wrong with any of the rear parking sensors, but looks like a software update is required, again it's a known fault. So those that go to main dealers, perhaps at least ask the question before they start running up a large bill to correct.

Hi Hantshog, thanks for feedback still not fixed mine. Phoned TPS and they are unable to sell to private customers at moment due to Covid.....however my brother in law works as a technician for another car maker and got their parts dept to call for a price, they only sell as a kit (with all the pipes) but quoted 209.78+VAT.....wow....in parallel i have tried my local VW dealer parts dept put so far no success, awaiting call back. My car is not doing a lot these days as im still working from home so not in any rush also i have access to another car. I have had a look via VCDS and could not see any adaptations required for Differential pressure sensor as described in other posts (G450) adaptation therefore i think similar to yourself soon as new sensor is fitted and all DTC's removed it will learn itself. I will post update when fixed

Any one got a VW Engine Security Code so I can adapt my new DPF Differential Pressure Sensor in OBD11?

Strange that a lot of these sensors are becoming faulty. I had to change my sensor recently on my 2017 Tiguan.
