Wait a minute I see Golf mk 8 heating controls. This the system where you speak to it with phrases like “VW, I feel cold”, it detects which seat your in and adjusts the temp or heats the seat? See volkswizard comparison of mk8 with previous golfs (28mins,20sec in)

Suspect a lot of tech gonna be added. I see Skoda has this week introduced some update which are all part of the same MQB building kit used for VW Tiguan https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new- ... b-new-tech

That’s a big retrograde step for me as well, the way they’ve adopted the same strategy here as for the Golf mk8 and done away with the physical Climate Control knobs. It’s so much easier to feel for the control knob and make small adjustments whilst driving rather than having to fiddle with menus on the screen.

I’ve just seen some YouTube reviews of the new 2021 Honda CRV hybrid, and I’m really tempted for my change sometime next year.

Given the production line is halted, what do you think the lead time would be to get the new facelift if I cancelled our current order... I know we potentially lose the 500 quid deposit but that would probably be offset by the additional depreciation of having the pre -facelift model.

Just thinking that if current delays at emden are 6-8 weeks (what I'm told), it might not be more than double that for the new face lift model....
Trouble is, unless your one of the leasers or it’s a mobility car, your probably not going to get the same discount you agreed on your current order...

Doesn’t bode well for the mk3😏

And I suspect the voice control option is going to be that ...an extortionately priced option. Probably the cost of activating as VW is going down that route of over the air (OTA) upgrades and option packs.

Can't help feeling a bigger refresh is whats needed. The Tig is an 'older' style SUV (For better or worse) I'd like to of seen more alterations to the externals.
I can see it becoming the new Q3 which was the last Audi to get the current styling having been around since 2012.
2020 BMW M340i X Drive in Mineral White.

Gone: Tiguan SEL Indium grey 2.0 TSI, DCC, Keyless pack, Dynaudio, Area View, Heated screen, wireless charger, Voice.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by the facelift to be honest. Externally, its a bit more a step up for the S -> SEL models, but with a 2020 R-Line on order, I wouldn't feel like it would look dated in comparison with the facelift given the R-line was more aggressive at the front end anyway.

I was having a chat with the wife and we were going to see how much of a upgrade the interior got and then work out if we wanted to delay until the facelift model was available. If its just an upgrade to Discover Nav Pro and the climate control changes with the addition of OTA (aka introducing sneaky annual costs).... I don't think its enough to warrant waiting. Maybe there's a whole load of stuff under the covers that will be revealed tomorrow.

In spy pictures, it looks ugly. My current r-line looks way better.

Have to wait till tomorrow for official pictures but at the moment, I am happy with what i got.
