Hi 2000sj, yes there is a problem with the map showing wrong speeds mainly 60mph when it should be 70mph. This has been a problem for the last couple of map updates. VW have been made aware and as usual say it’s not their fault as they don’t provide the map data 😳, however they appear to be unwilling to do anything about it.
So it’s anyones idea as to when it will be remedied !.

I have the new AID and the photo makes the fitting look worse than it is.
I am fussy about things like this and had a good look at mine today, all looks neat and tidy and as it should.
I also have no issues with the smaller size and functionality.
The full screen map also looks great.

Photos can sometimes be deceiving, I was adamant I didn’t like the standard R-Line seats and needed leather from looking at photos, it wasn’t until I saw them in real life that I decided they looked great and saved myself £1000.

I was the exact same dan with the seats, my current a4 has leather, and I thought to myself I need leather in the Tiguan too, until I test drove an r line with cloth and I was like these are really nice, and plus the wife hates the leather in the a4.

So when she said to me she wouldn’t mind even losing the heated seats if it meant not having leather she was ok with it. So to her surprise when I told he the cloth came with heated seats she was over the moon ;)
On order: R Line tech 190bhp 4motion, with Dynaudio & headlamp washers ;)

Picked up 30-5-19 and love it!!

Thanks Scrounger - Im in Norfolk so won't take up your kind offer.
OBD2 scanners are not that expensive - can you recommend one

sj
Buy the one from OBDEleven. It’s excellent and has a few ‘one touch’ coding options. You can also long code with it.

Only downside is it can only be used on Android. An IOS version will be released very soon apparently.

There are also currently showing that a version 2 of the main unit is coming soon so wonder what updates that will have over the original version.

I have the same issue - showing 60 on dual carriage way and 20 in residential. I also agree on having gear showing. Would prefer nav directions.
