MY20 Changes

Post by Bostonsa » Mon Jul 01, 2019 9:17 pm

So the tiguan is getting cosmetic changes again... the MY20 production run is set to have the following:

The changes are confirmed as follows:

• Changes for the selector lever handle for DSG SOP 28/19 - Does someone have a example of what this will look like?

• Brand logo removed from all engine covers SOP 28/19

• Introduction of visual display of radiator fan also in post-run mode after engine switch-off only for Active Info
Display SOP 33/19 -
Does someone have a example of what this will look like?

• Removal of the Absence button for Easy-Close-Light in tailgate. To now be controlled by a kick gesture SOP 33/19

• Elimination of nameplate for engine designation SOP 33/19

• Additional of VW Connect Dongle (YOI) to S and Match trims SOP 33/19

• Introduction of an R-Line Specific Sport Skin for the Active Info Display SOP 33/19 - Does someone have a example of what this will look like?

Does any one have any pictures on the changes as VW chat is saying speak to dealer as they would have the info, but the dealer is not responding or sounds less aware of the changes than they should be. Does anyone here have any pictures or details of what the changes look like?

To be honest, I like the absence button on the electric tailgate. I think that removing it would be a step backwards.

Could be or maybe they wanted to make it simpler and more like other car manufacturers. I think that vag are the only ones who have (had?) the absence button.

I would certainly miss it, it gets used on virtually every trip!
Wouldn’t miss the others though!.

Agree, I liked the convenience of the button as well and also think its a step back, considering the kick funchion is not always as accurate. Then again, taking the branding off the engine cover seems like excessive cost cutting to me..

Are things that bad financially?! Whats next, fake leather instead of real leather seats... Almost feels like they are cutting at the thing that makes the brand demand a higher price range "premium German build quality", even the Korean brands who invented it are moving away from cheap materials and cost saving measures to win "premium feel" points and market share.

But again has anyone had any pictures on the changes to the AID and the dsg gear lever?

If I may ask, where did the OP find this list of changes?
