The new speedo dial in the AID seems to ignore the fact that our speed limits are very often at 30, 50 & 70 mph! You need to either use the speed limiter all the time, or have a digital speed display up to check you're not going to be flashed :(

Would you go far as retrofiting the 1st generation AID into your 2019 car. Surely this is possible.

Done a whole 60 miles. Had 10 on the clock when I got it earlier. Very well built and very solid and quiet on the road. Lots of tech to get use to. Active Info has so many settings! I’m one of the few on here without the R-Line but I got the tech options and the Progressive steering which makes for a sharp, quick and precise turn. I’m only missing the body kit and stiffer suspension but there’s precious little body roll on standard setup.
The only remark at this stage is you have to put more of a pointed finger tip on the lock sensor on the front door handles. A flat thumb doesn’t seem to make the right contact. The under bumper footwag to open and close works a treat. No false wags😀

Bet you can’t wait until Saturday. Safe drive back from Poole.

A question- are you are missing the negative battery terminal cover, or is this another VW cost-cutting move?
This cover used to have the sticker showing you how to connect to the battery for charging/jump starting.

Dunno. Just has a poke around at pictures online and many Tsi pics show the covers like mine. Example attached.

Why do you think a cover is required on a negative chassis car?

I don't have a cover on either post on my 2019 car.

On mine there are two covers, the negative one carrying a sticker illustrating how to correctly connect a charger or jump leads. I was merely noting it’s absence in the TSi picture.
