I picked up my car this morning, so i thought i would get you a few pictures of the things that were different to my older 2017 R-Line.
The boot has lost the second button, :( , but the kick under the boot actually works it beeps to give you time to walk way, it then closes like the second button did - it was much easier than the old version that was hit and miss.
The gear lever has changed, not much, but it changed. My old one had DSG written on it. so no biggy.
There are now SOS buttong on the roof.
The virtual cockpit has changed so that it now has hard gauges on the sides (Temp and Fuel) it also houses the indicators. there is also a 'view' button on the steering wheel that changes the view of the screen, looks quite good but i have not messed with all the settings on that just yet. for some reason, the picture i took is missing most of the screen for some reason. i will need to take more.

The virtual cockpit, now that it has bits on both side does it mean the actual cockpit is smaller than the previous one?

Looking at them pictures I do prefer the previous one but maybe these new ones have better features?

Me too, I don't like that new one at all.

I was going to change mine for another 240 next March, but with that new dash and the loss of the second boot button I think I might hold onto my current car for a while longer.

The new AID is 10" instead of 12", there's a whole separate thread on it, and some info on what's different.

So I have an early 2019 model and the changes above are not much different.

I already have the red SOS button in the roof, my gear selector is the same and I also have the new AID. The only difference is that I have 2 boot buttons.

I quite like the new AID. It’s cleaner than the older one and I like the fact you can have full screen nav.

Just had a quick search and can’t find the thread.
If you know it, please could you add the link to this one?

Thanks for pics. Super interesting to see the changes I’ll get on my R-Line in Nov. Boot I’m ok with. Gearstick I’m not sure about as haven’t really seen the old one. The AID more interesting. Looking at the old and new the smaller size not massively obvious. Judging by the more rounded shape of the old and more full screen elements of the new I suspect the difference between 12.3 and 10.3 not as great as you think. In general it looks like the change with more functionality is for the better and from a manufacturer side means they can homologate the screen across models only having to code the screen once rather than having multiple versions. No show stoppers for me, all hail Nov.
