The missing button in no big deal if the same beeping delay funchion is there with the kick. Think I am more appalled by the bargain basement gear shifter. I have the MY19 model from March this year and my gear lever looks like this.

The new MY20 version is so ugly and looks cheap... how much are they really saving here!?

The new virtual cockpit is not as good as the last one, not as many choices on the dial configurations it is deffo smaller and NO CLOCK. when you have your track list on the radio you have no time showing in the car.

Is the gear shifter still leather? Is it easy to swap out for an old one?

Just got my 2020 SEL 2.0 Tsi 190. DSG Gear knob still leather - or at least as previous as could be synthetic leather. But why are they scrimping here?!?

Reports on simplified auto boot closure seen positive ie removal of second button. In fact better to use a foot wag instead of button press as you may grab something from the boot having forgotten to press the auto close button!

Congratulations on your new cars.

Just got a quick question, where is the turn signal visual on the new aid.

Those of you who have used both new and old AID cockpit would you say the new one is a big disappointment?

Thanks

Neil

A few things,
The gear stick to me is only different in that it does not have the DSG embossed in the metal section of the handle, it is still leather as per the old one, so this is not much of an issue to be honest - it's almost the same.
The boot kicker and the removal of the second button is also not a show stopper, the boot opens every time with just a kick forward underneath the number plate - this works well for both opening and the closing (again for both instant close and delayed close) so you dont need the second button. One thing I have noticed on the boot is that either this model is higher off the ground or I have shrunk a little! I have to stretch now to reach the button? it could be the DCC is on comfort and not the sport? Still new to me that one.

The indicators are now built into the plastic on the side of the screen, the screen is deffo smaller than the last one and IMO it's no where near as good as the first version, :( , the views on the 2 dials are nothing like the previous one. You only have the option of rev counter on the left and speed on the right. All other views are just numbers around the screen
I will get some pictures to show what I mean.

The most annoying thing about the whole car is NO CLOCK, I have just got the manual out now to see if I can find any way to put it onto the cockpit thing.

Another thing I have noticed is that the coasting mode in ECO now has a mind of it's own (it does it at random times now?) And it also does this in both D and S modes??????

It seems to coast but only when it wants, I will try all modes tomorrow.
My last one only coasted in E mode?
Today it coasted at 40 on motorway. But didn't on a side road at 22 ish?
