I think i've found my new colour.....

Post by mrew42 » Tue Sep 10, 2019 2:48 pm

and wheels...
Whilst having a dig through various sites trying to see as many colour combinations on the Tig as possible, I came across this one with upgraded 20" alloys (and obviously suspension)
I have to say i REALLY like the look of this

Just have to decide between Match and SEL spec.

Have you tried one yet with this wheel and suspension combination. Personally I find my SEL with 19 alloys and standard suspension slightly too hard for my liking, 20 inch alloys and sport suspension is just going to make things worse, and nowhere near as comfortable as your current Tiguan SE. You might find it fine but if not it can spoil the whole ownership experience.
As for Match vs SEL I have the SEL as the Match wasn't available back then, either one is very well equipped, the only thing I would miss on the Match would be the LED headlights, but if you've never had them you wouldn't miss them. I could live without the pano roof and AID, they are both nice to have but certainly not essentials. Good luck with your search.

That's a good point CNC and something I will certainly be checking out before I sign on the dotted line.
My 18" rims on the SE Nav do prove to give excellent comfort.
It does look nice though so would have to be much worse for me not to have them

That's Atlantic Blue I think. It's a beautiful colour and changes depending on the light. It's a bugger to keep clean though.

Here's mine

I have those wheels with sports suspension on my SEL and to be honest, I don't find the ride harsh, but then again most of the cars I've had have also had sports suspension too.
I did have an SE Nav as a hire car for a couple of weeks before we started looking for a Tiguan and I don't recall the ride being much better, not on my regular routes anyway.

Really nice. It’s a hard call between that and a tungsten silver with suzuka or sebring, my personal favs.
