Just to put another slant on it. Mine have been terrible, have agreed with you all, until I gave my screen a good clean with autoglym glass polish, they are now fine again. Perhaps I’d let my car cleaning standards slip a bit?!

Wow - what a difference . The wipers juddering both front and back were really getting me down-then I read this post and bought the Aero twin A298S they were the easiest wipers I have ever fitted in 45 years !!, less than 2 minutes.

Just wanted to say thanks, spent too much time in the pissing down rain yesterday wiping blades with rags as they juddered across the screen. Have ordered the Bosch ones this morning.

From reading on here, and from my own experience of owning a 2018 and a 2019 Rline, it looks like VW must have changed the blade supplier in the spring of 2019. It seems like cars from then had the garbage blades fitted.

We should contact VW as a group and demand a refund of the decent quality blades we have had to buy aftermarket!

The fronts on my March 2018 registered Tig have never uttered a peep. Lucky prehaps?

I think you would have just beaten the change of supplier.

I reckon spring built, May/June registration onwards will have the issue.

Bit mystified here about the front wiper lengths. I have measured mine and they are 26" and 22". Some on here say theirs are 25 and 22 and others 26 and 21. Shouldn't they all be the same?

From reading this thread I decided to swap out the rear wiper but bought both front and rear Bosch sets just in case. I'd not been driving in the rain so far but was very glad to have these on hand when it eventually did. The difference is chalk and cheese, or streaky bacon and a machine washed plate. A relatively inexpensive upgrade that's completely worth the money. Thanks for the advice.
