Would this also mean that production is stopped or delayed for the diesel models? My 1.5Tsi is planned for production next week... Can this have a positive or negative effect on the lead time of my car?
The VW statement says Diesel cars. ;)

Waiting on bated breath for a email update from my dealer who I know will definitely get in touch with me today as she’s been excellent with updates ect..

Gonna ask her to at least send me pics of my new ride.

Looking forward to seeing what the tints, mirrors a running boards look like in real world pics.

I really hope this recall has a quick turn around/resolution.🤞🏻

Just got a call from my dealer. They have offered a courtesy car for the duration of my Tigless state, saying that VW don't want anyone to be adversely affected!!!
Don't know what it'll be but at least I'll have some wheels while I wait for Toby two to get delivered

Not sure if it's a dealer initiative or VW themselves, either way it's better than having no wheels

Regarding my Tiguan TSI on order, I have had confirmation from my dealer that if has passed checkpoint 8 of the factory yesterday (Quality Check). So indeed, it seems no delay for the petrol engines. ETA Belgium is now 18/03 instead of the confirmed 28/03, so faster :)
I hope to have it early April, very exiting... ;)
I hope Corona will not cause delays during the final journey...

Collected 13/05, due to Corona...

Wonder what the issue is? It's a bit odd that the total number is under 5K but affects 7 models. That's a like a day's production.

May I suggest amending the thread title to indicate that the recall only affects diesel vehicles.
