I see VW has started to play with the 7 seater ID 6 (Potential electric Allspace ??)

WTF are VW stylists doing. That looks like a flipping Peugeot! Especially the rear lights, rear end and side profile.

You mean the the alleged camouflage - just like VW did with the ID4 to make it look like a Vauxhall or Kia while initial testing (see attached pictures)

I’d have absolutely called that out as a new Peugeot 5008 if it weren’t for the article... the car certainly isn’t a looker...

I certainly expect to be looking at electric cars when my 4 year PCP on the Tiguan is up, and it’s good that there should at least be a lot more choice by then! But the id4 isn’t immediately a desirable car in the way the Tiguan was. It just seems too sparse inside and externally it’s just... well, it’s not particularly good or bad... just not very inspiring.

It’ll be interesting to see if this approach of having the is sub-brand works out for VW compared to the approach by Peugeot (for example) of just electrifying their existing range.

Golfs and Polos and Tiguans are massively popular cars and to me it seems mad to throw all that goodwill away. One of the biggest strengths of the e-Golf was that it was a familiar car just with an electric motor. Seems silly to to capitalise on that.

I’ll be in the same position around that time. Whether to continue with current Tiguan? Check out what VW done in the world of electrification? See if Land Rover Defender has gone PHEV? Or finally accept my mid life crisis and get that Ducati Monster motor bike? Time will tell. It’s good to see where VW is going though in with SUV’’s. So far the potential VW follow up to current Tiguan is not presenting a good case for itself!

The alleged interior of ID4.

https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/vw-i ... or-teaser/

And a prototype first drive here

https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new- ... -prototype
THE same interior as the ID3. I personally don't like them its to minimalist for me. I prefer Hyundai KINA electric they are keeping it similar and the design is better for me. eg the air con controls are separate, not in a screen which is difficult to use on the go. :( ;)

The outside looks okay (to me) but the inside dashboard looks horrible... What were VW thinking with the Dashboard on these cars !

Watched the Autogefuhl video yesterday and am really not sure about the design. It looks like two different cars sandwiched together. The rear is awful in my opinion. Looks like a Ssangyong.

I think the interior is better, although the white steering wheel option is terrible. Not mad about all the touch controls too.

I'm keen to see one in the flesh, but I'm not instantly attracted to it, like I was with the Tig R Line.
