Hi no its just a Match trim. Only problem is if we did reject the car being an Allspace could be over another six month wait.

I would not jump into rejecting the car just yet, allow the dealer to put right your issues and judge the quality after the work is done.

You may be surprised that the end result is what your looking for and your be happy with your car.

The famous vw build quality is not what it was! Ours was missing a rubber bush under one end of the roof rail, and a loose module inside the boot trim which would definitely have manifested itself on a test drive.....

This could be washer fluid which would indicate either the front gasket is missing from the roof rail or the windscreen isn't fitted correctly. Either way its a new headliner.
This would raise concerns to me as to what else would be lurking further down the line however, as mentioned before, if your dealer are excellent and look after you then as long as they continue to do so then stick at it. If they start being funny then its time to reconsider.

If you decide to reject, there's a good chance there may well be one in production and a potential upgrade in spec due to the inconvenience. You wont know unless you ask.

I think you could be right about the stain being washer fluid as it is the same colour. I will mention it to them on Tuesday. It most likley is the roof rail seal as it is directly below it.

Document the faults fully, and then reject the car. At this point it's not even really about whether the dealer can rectify the faults you've found, it's the fact you just won't be able to trust that there aren't other faults lurking.

That dent in the roof over the door was the most worrying thing to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the car took a heavy blow there which opened up a seal around the windscreen or roof rail. I bet it's already been through the bodyshop once...

Think with all your faults I’d be speaking about rejection. It’s not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose or as described. The law is on your side. When you pay the money you are spending you shouldn’t have to have issues like this. Any dealer worth his salt would keep you in a similar car until a new replacement is found.
If you go down this route, do it in writing, conversations can be denied. Really does take the shine off getting a new car doesn’t it. Wish you all the best mate
