I have a 2019 R-line needing new tyres (255/40 R20). I have read great things about the Pirelli Scorpions but they don’t offer them for the size needed. The Pirelli site recommends P-zero’s. I’m looking for a good all-season tyre with good durability and low road noise. Has anyone tried the P-zeros or are there other suggestions? The factory-fitted Continentals have lasted less than 13k so I won’t be fitting those.
My Tig is fitted with the Scorpions.
Not sure who 'they' are but that tyre is most certainly available in that size

Thanks for this. Sorry to set hates running! Any views on Scorpions vs P-zeros?
lol. no hate here
P-zero are (in Pirelli's own words) an ultra high performance tyre and won't last long compared to the Scorpions.
There are many members of this forum who are more than happy with the Scorpions (me included)

P-Zeros are a flagship tyre. Supplied as standard on lots of sports and performance cars.

Wonderful tyres but they don't last very long. 10k miles would be good.

No idea why anyone would put them on a Tiguan.
Regular P Zeros are crap. Loud, uncomfortable and wear quickly, and the grip is nothing compared to even Michelin PS3 let alone PS4/PS4S.

Don't know if any interest to you, as clearly not all season, but I swapped my Continentals for a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and I'm very happy with them. Quieter and more grip than the Contis imho. Got them for £350 with £50 cashback, so £150 per tyre.

I've spent a lot of time looking at all season tyres for this RLine and my previous one. I find the 20" wheel has a very limited choice. All I've found so far ar Vredestein Quatrac PRO 255/40 R20 or Pirelli P7 Cinturato. I'm still looking as my new Tig has a good few mm of tread on my Continentals left.
More here ( inc the 2 in your post)

Not many all season 255 tyres I am afraid.

Thanks all for the advice. At the risk of being called a luddite I shall go for the Scorpions. Not all-weather I believe but I shall live with it.

Interesting link with some good prices. The Vredestein Quatrac all seasons look great value at £166 + fitting. These get great reviews, so I might take a look at getting a set in autumn 👍
