No they are separate options. You can have wireless charger without heated windscreen, but not the other way around. If it’s like it was on the MK7 Golf, then I can only imagine that the metal film embedded in the heated windscreen tends to block mobile phone signals, so when that option is taken, you have to also have the wireless charging as it connects the phone to the exterior roof aerial to boost the cell signal ? (At least that’s what VW told me when I ordered them on my MK7 GTD in 2016.)

On screen popup is really good in my experience with a Mazda CX-5.

If it's a "wireless" connection wouldn't that just connect the car via the usual connectivity options or does it do more than just charge ?

In my current MK7.5 Golf I have the (very short lived) factory wireless charging pad in the forward cubby and this defiantly has wiring up to the aerial on the roof to improve mobile signal strength.
Like I say though, I don't know if the Tiguan one is the same. There must be a reason why you can spec Wireless charging on its own, but can't spec heated windscreen without the wireless charging ?

My current car, not a VW, has a heated windscreen with metallic elements and the phone works fine.
Think I read that the VW uses a non-metalic layer so not sure how that would impact a phone given all the other windows/pano roof in the car.
Trying to get an answer from VW is like platting fog lol
