Vinyl Wrap roof rails? Dechrome

Any one succeeded wrapping the roof rails?

Otherwise I plan to plastidip them instead.

do you ever use them?

Just wondering what happens to the vinyl or plastidip coating the next time you fix and remove say a bike rack or roof box...?

No I don´t and never have on recent cars, but Murphys law tells me I will when this is applied
