I do think that eventually electric will be the way to go, but putting your faith in the system at the moment, with problems such as this is just not instilling any confidence in the buyer. Give it another couple of years and let’s see then what the manufacturers have learned, if anything!😏

So somehow he flattened the battery, then amazed central locking not working and strange errors on charging up. Like him going oh the manual key doesn't work! until he finally puts it in properly.

OK, yes there's a fault, but the video and his attitude is excessive IMHO.

True. but amazing that a jump pack can get it back to life and then he's got 100's of kms range left

So what went is actually the 12v battery like we all have in our petrol / diesel cars. That could happen to anyone, especially if you do lots of short journeys and don’t charge it properly by giving the car a good long run.

Once that was sorted, the actual drive of the car from the battery powering the engine was fine.

Interesting video from the point of view of seeing the id3 in use but I wouldn’t be too put off the car.

The more I think about it, I can definitely see myself taking the electric car plunge when my PCP is up. The big question is whether to go for a Tiguan e- Hybrid or make the jump to something like the id4 or Skoda Enyaq. At least I have a couple of years to think about it and see how the market develops!

I like the outside of the ID range but boy oh boy is the dash horrible, just can not see me getting one all the time it looks like that.

Just looks like they chucked a couple of screens on the dash, not sure who styled the interior but they should not be in a job.

Think it's just the VW group in general. Even Audi has gone a bit low rent with it's interiors.
