Looking at taking the front seats out tomorrow to give the interior a deep clean. Am I ok to disconnect the battery whilst I do it? (so the airbags don’t go). I’ve done it in previous cars but not one as new as this.
Just wondering if disconnecting the battery might screw anything up?

Front seat removal
Re: Front seat removal
From memory of comments on the all Tiguan forum, you'll get several warnings but most will go away once you exercise that function, e.g. Steering you need to turn full lock to full lock to calibrate the sensor. Windows to calibrate anti pinch fully down, hold button down for several seconds, fully up, home button up for several seconds. Think most everything else is fine.

To be safe, i would recommend you to remove the battery for safety. also, you can check a tutorial on youtube on how to properly remove front seat of your car, you might aswell need to specify the car model you are using. hope this helps!
