From Order Number to Build Week Confirmed
Hi all,
I just wanted to document for myself, and other new buyers the current lead times in the process.
I ordered on 16th March at dealers.
22/03/19 - 1 week later - Dealer emailed me with order number
23/03/19 - 1 day later my order appeared on the 'My VW' app - "With The Factory"
I am aware there were long delays in the past from last year's WLTP issues. What are people's experiences with more recent order timelines, i.e. this side of the new year?
How long to go from 'With The Factory' to build week confirmed? Appreciate some of you have this info in your signature but others don't. Would be good to get an idea of the current lead times of 'new orders' post the WLTP 'crisis'.

Re: From Order Number to Build Week Confirmed
Mine was ordered on the 12th of Feb and still waiting. My dealer said it will change four weeks before it starts to be built, but who knows. I was given build week 20 when I ordered it.

Re: From Order Number to Build Week Confirmed
Similar to above I ordered 22nd Feb. Received order number the same day and tracking number went live on the vw website the following week. Exactly a week later received the change in status to “With The Factory”. Dealer has told me I have a provisional build week of 23 which could move forward and build week should be confirmed about 4 weeks in advance of build. Original delivery estimate at ordering was 20 weeks which works out end of July.

Re: From Order Number to Build Week Confirmed
Was just wondering how others were getting on, so this is an ideal thread....
My order was placed 18th Feb. Same story with tracking, went to 'with factory' and has stayed at that stage. Now 7wks later; was given an estimated 12-14wk leadtime but looks like that will drift.
I've been provided with an unconfirmed/provisional Week 19 build week, but I'm not holding my breath!

Re: From Order Number to Build Week Confirmed
I ordered mine on the 2nd Feb, was told by VW UK that my provisional build week was 18 (last week of April). Still haven't changed from "With the factory" even though I was expecting it to change in Week 14 with the 4 week lead time (last week). Still no change as of today, so looks like a minimum slip of a week into 19 or maybe later.

Re: From Order Number to Build Week Confirmed
Well as mentioned on my own thread mine is still sitting at the UK port and it's now coming up to 2 weeks so 6 weeks in total sitting at a German or UK port, not impressed.
