Hi

Mine is a early 2019 model picked up nov 18. It’s been in the dealers today because of a warning light being on. Tonight I noticed the roof lights were active. I didn’t ask them to do it and they haven’t told me it’s been done but they are working now when they didn’t previously.

Can also change the brightness in the menu settings.
13/08/18 - Ordered Tiguan SWB SEL 2.0 TDI 4Motion 150PS 7-Speed DSG Indium Grey with options - Keyless entry and electric boot, Park Assist with Area View and Heated Steering Wheel.
05/11/18 - Confirmed Build Date

I believe the brightness adjustment is for all the ambient lighting so will brighten/dim under the one control.
Maybe one of the guys with an earlier model can answer this one better than I can as mine will not be done till Tuesday.

You can adjust all at once or select individually and set different brightness on doors, floor and roof

I’m curious about the lights...I have 19 plate picked up may 2019. Do these actually have the roof lights just been disconnected or do they not exist at all?? My 67 plate had the lights and I do actually like them

In the inside front cover of your handbook you will see a sticker with a load of 3 digit/letter codes like this

Code_up[1].jpg

You can see 3FJ is circled. This is the code stating that the it is fitted with the roof lighting as per VW Codes list as shown here

VW Code.jpg

So if you have that code it should mean that the LED lighting will have been installed at production.

Sorry to hijack the sunroof ambient lighting subject, but in the standard features it says ambient lighting in the doors and sills which I can find, but it also mentions the dashboard ambient lighting. My question is whereabouts in the dashboard are they or it?

That is a very good question. I have never noticed and form of ambient lighting in the dash not unless they mean the actual Infotainment/AID?
