Then its been recently added, it didn't have when it first came out from memory only the Rline did, my SEL doesn't have it.

Apologies if this has already been said somewhere but I’ve just realised my MY19 190PS has auto foot waggle boot thing. Reading this thread, I was under the mistaken impression that the 19 didn’t have it and the 20 was getting it..!

I’m delighted. And also a bit of a wally for not even trying!!😂

The only change regarding the foot swipe opening is that in the MY20 it’ll be used for closing the boot too. As it is now you have a second closure button that you can press before you load your hands with stuff, then it closes when you move out of range of the sensors.

Bear in mind though, that closing the boot with the second button, or in future versions by the foot wave and walking out of range will leave the car unlocked. If you lock the car first before opening the boot, then after closing with the second button or foot wave it will remain locked.

Believe me it’s very easy to forget and think the car’s locked, I know that from experience!

Since learning about the foot waggle a mere 10 hours , I have indeed left it unlocked as you say 🤦‍♂️. This forgot 👍
