Parking Sensors

Post by Russ123 » Tue Jun 30, 2020 8:58 pm

Could anyone help me or share thier parking sensors settings please ?
I find there is a bit of a delay of them to activate on the front and when they do come they start off being loud then go quieter ?
I have looked at the settings and i have all tones and volume set at max. I also have entertainment fade on , but i do not know how to turn it off too as its not highlighted and it skips past .
Thank You

Volume stays the same until you are very close and then a continuous tone with yellow and red marks in the display

The entertainment level should be able to be adjusted - I'll try mine this evening and post back

I find having the tone set differently for front and rear very handy when close manoeuvring in a tight parking space for example or near low bollards.

I wonder why mine go quieter then ? Could it be different on an Allspace ?

OK, the entertainment setting is adjusted by tapping the on the display (for entertainment) and moving the slider up or down.
All this does though is to reduce the sound level of the radio unit when reversing so the tones can be heard

I have the front and rear set at different tones and I have the sound turned completely down (Sound Off) when reversing, .... personal preference.

There was a change from 2019 MY onwards where the rear speakers were no longer used for the parking sensors sounds, I suspect this is why your entertainment fade is greyed out and not available so I suspect you have a 2019 MY or newer model?.

It really helps if you enter your car specification to identify differences between models and build years, perhaps you would consider adding your spec as I have below for mine.

You can read the 2019 MY changes here viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3990

I also remember reading somewhere the rear Allspace speakers are set up differently to the standard Tiguan presumably due to the extra positioning of front seat to rear most seat distance.
