I get it even with leather seats.

under the seats there is a bracket. if you spray it with silicone, the noise goes away. i normally get it done at service

Thanks for that. I had a run out to the supermarket earlier and before setting off I cranked the seat up to its full height then back down again. This seems to have done a bit of good as I didn't notice any creaking on the journey. I've got some silicon spray on standby in case it comes back.

WD will dry up after a while, use grease

silcon spray is better its what use :lol:

I have a can of WD40 Silicon Lubricant. They say it doesn't dry out and is non-sticky. I don't see why that couldn't be used!

That's the same product I have, but 2 days later and the squeak is still not back, so hopefully I won't be needing it.
