Do the suzuka wheels have tpms sensors or is it a indirect system?

The Tiguan uses sensors in the valve stems that transmit to the TPMS. Because of this you need to use the plastic valve caps supplied and not replace them with metal ones. VW warn against the use of metal caps in the manual for this reason.

Does this mean when you have a new tyre fitted you need to tell the fitter as the first thing he will do is pull the valve stem out of the wheel

This is taken from the manual section about the TPMS. It gives information regarding the tyre valves.

It specifically mentions not damaging the valves when changing tyres. I would mention them to the tyre fitter in the event that a tyre change is required, just in case ;)

The lose indicator flags when the tyres have lost enough pressure. The TPMS gives the actual pressures per tyre.
I had TPMS in a previous Mondeo and have pressure loss indicators in more recent cars. To be honest I'd spend the extra on something else. The TPMS doesn't have any actual advantages over the loss indicator system in my experience as most tyre inflators at garages have a set pressure before inflating tyres, but each to their own on this one.

My tyre pressure loss indicator is saying all four wheels have lost 2bar. I wonder if the recent cold weather is the cause and if so, not sure if I top them up and the weather warms up are the over inflated? Has anyone else had the problem or is it just me 😕

With the cold weather mine shows check tyre pressure when I start up and indicates each wheel. The pressure goes back up after a few miles and the tyres warm up. One of the joys of too much technology.

I find the TPMS will give you a warning about 1 PSI below the set warning pressure; well before the change in rolling radius is detected by an ABS sensor. The ABS and TPMS will both detect a safety issue but the TPMS will allow you to keep the tyres at the optimum pressure for fuel economy and optimal wear; without the need to go around the car with a tyre gauge. "

The TPMS valves are very distinctive so tyre fitters usually spot them, but I always comment on their presence; just in case you get a novice.
