I have found you on the internet looking for a solution to my problem. I tell you, I have made the change of halogen headlights to full LED headlights and in any case you have to change wiring, change pins and install a switchboard. I can provide you all the information (in Spanish). Everything works (low light, intermittent and drl) but not high light, nor DLA nor AFS curve light. As I understand it is necessary to reprogram the new switchboard that needs to be installed.

I keep you informed.
Greetings from Spain
Hello JalberT, can you please provide the information for the headlights I would appreciate it!

Here is my guide on italian forum to do it yourself: http://www.tiguanclub.it/forums/viewtopic.php?f=246&t=17606#p340543 (it's in italian)
Also with video guide that shows what you need to know to remove the headlights:
It' s in italian Language but maybe you could find some useful informations

There shouldn't be any problem if the insurers are told of any modifications made to the vehicle. If they know about it and accept it then it will be covered.

I am really interested to upgrade to Full Led but from the Vw service told me that it would be really difficult because it have to be connected with the steering wheel being dynamic lights. Another issue would be in case of accident or damage that the insurance will cover only the original lights (basesed on VIN number). It would be interesting to find out how the upgrade has been done... Please send me if you can a P.M with the price of the headlights and maybe from where you bought them. Thanks.
You may find the insurance may not insure, a friend who works at a Vauxhall garage put a upgraded front bumper on his Astra and promptly ran up the rrrs of another car, his insurance would not repair his car
